Oh, how we would all love to have a lot of it. I've been told money does not bring happiness and I believe it. For me and my family, we depend & trust the Lord to provide for absolutely everything. He has been testing us with our use of the money he supplies us with. I don't do a good job, but I am learning & growing. Just this week, I poured over the Sunday ad's, clipped coupons & compared prices. When my husband brought the grocery receipt home, we saved almost 50%! Two hours of work for $62 in savings...not bad! I still need to go to Target & Walgreens, so I will post about all my savings this week in a couple days.
We, my husband and I, believe that everything we "own" belongs to the Lord. I truly believe if I had a lot of money, it would decrease my faith. And, by "a lot" of money, I mean an extreme excess from what we need to live on. It is also said that the root of all evil is money. I think that is mostly correct. My greed can overcome me very quickly and money is the first thing that I get greedy about. I hear a lot of people say they don't have enough money. God provides my family just enough of it every single month.

"There is nothing wrong with people possessing riches. The wrong comes when riches possess people." -- Billy Graham
"One of the dangers of having a lot of money is that you may be quite satisfied with the kinds of happiness money can give and so fail to realize your need for God. If everything seems to come simply by signing checks, you may forget that you are at every moment totally dependent on God." -- C.S. Lewis
"A Man's treatment of money is the most decisive test of his character - how he makes it and how he spends it." -- James Moffatt
"Nothing I am sure has such a tendency to quench the fire of religion as the possession of money." -- J.C. Ryle
"Each of us will eventually give away all of our earthly possessions. How we choose to do so, however, is a reflection of our commitment to the kingdom of God." -- Charles F. Stanley
"The fellow that has no money is poor. The fellow that has nothing but money is poorer still." -- Billy Sunday
"When I have any money, I get rid of it as quickly as possible, lest it find a way into my heart." -- John Wesley

All good thoughts. I especially like Billy Sunday's quotation.
